Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented أخصائي الصحة والسلامة والبيئة to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. You will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of employees and the environment within the workplace. Your expertise will ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards, while also fostering a proactive approach to risk management. You will collaborate closely with project teams to identify hazards, implement safety measures, and conduct training sessions to elevate our safety performance and environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities:

– Develop, update, and implement comprehensive health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

– Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate the likelihood and severity of risks, and implement appropriate control measures to mitigate or eliminate them.

– Carry out routine inspections and audits of the workplace to ensure compliance with safety regulations, identify potential hazards, and recommend corrective actions.

– Investigate accidents, near misses, and other incidents to determine root causes, identify contributing factors, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

– Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills and training exercises, and coordinate emergency response activities in the event of an incident.

– Provide training and education to employees on health, safety, and environmental topics, including hazard recognition, risk assessment, safe work practices, and emergency procedures.

– Monitor and manage environmental aspects of the workplace, including waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation.

– Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, training activities, and other relevant HSE data. Prepare reports and presentations on HSE performance for management review.

– Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance safety and environmental performance.

Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.

– Minimum of 8+ years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the engineering consultancy sector.

– In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, standards, and best practices applicable in Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC region.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

– NEBOSH IGC Certification is a must. ISO 45001, and OSHA are a plus.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

– Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

– Willingness to relocate, if required.

– Must have a Valid SCE Membership (Professional or Consultant).

– Must have a Valid and Transferable Iqama (if non-Saudi).
