Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Resident Engineer with 10+ years of experience in Hospitality projects to join our Engineering Consultancy team in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the on-site construction activities of a major project, ensuring quality, and adherence to specifications, schedule, and budget. The candidate should have a strong background in engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.
Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage construction supervision projects, overseeing all on-site activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, local and safety regulations, budget and project timelines.
– Provide comprehensive technical reviews at all project phases, from design development, bidding, and contract formation, through construction and final completion.
– Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project delivery and quality. Identify and resolve construction-related issues, providing technical expertise and solutions to prevent delays.
– Maintain rigorous quality assurance processes, verifying that all work aligns with approved plans, specifications, and industry standards.
– Oversee material procurement and deliveries to support construction schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and assigned discipline requirements.
– Ensure that all required tests and inspections are conducted, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures and quality standards.
– Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including reports, change orders, and correspondence.
– Collaborate with construction management to identify and eliminate potential hazards, safeguarding employee health and safety and ensuring environmental compliance.
– Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional engineering license is preferred.
– 10+ years of experience in engineering consultancy or construction management and not contractor, with a focus on hospitality projects.
– In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant local and international building codes and regulations.
– Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet project deadlines.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
– Solid problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
– Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and construction management systems
– Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic language skills.
– Must have a Valid SCE Membership (Professional and Consultant)
– Must have a Valid IQAMA, if Non-Saudi
