Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh. will be responsible for ensuring that projects comply with local environmental regulations and standards in Riyadh. This role involves conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), obtaining necessary permits, and ensuring projects are licensed according to the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC) requirements.
Responsibilities:
– Conduct comprehensive EIAs to evaluate the potential environmental effects of proposed projects.
– Identify and assess environmental risks and propose mitigation measures to minimize adverse impacts.
– Ensure full project compliance with all applicable Saudi Arabian environmental laws, regulations, and standards, including securing necessary environmental permits, licenses, and approvals from all relevant authorities.
– Prepare detailed EIA reports in compliance with NCEC guidelines and local regulations.
– Liaise with regulatory agencies, including the NCEC, to ensure all environmental requirements are met.
– Review project designs and plans to ensure they meet environmental standards and local codes.
– Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on environmental compliance.
– Develop and implement Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) to manage and mitigate environmental impacts.
– Monitor and report on environmental performance and compliance throughout the project life-cycle.
– Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure ongoing compliance.
– Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies and community groups, to address environmental concerns and ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field is required. A master’s is a plus.
– A minimum of 10 or more years of proven experience in in environmental impact assessment, permitting, and regulatory compliance in Saudi Arabia.
– In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian environmental laws, regulations, and standards, including NCEC requirements.
– Strong understanding of environmental impact assessment methodologies, mitigation measures, and environmental management systems.
– Environmental Certifications are highly preferable.
– Excellent communication, and management skills with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
– Willingness to relocate, if required.
– Must have a valid SCE Membership.
– Must have a valid IQAMA (if Non-Saudi).
