Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing project plans, scheduling, resource allocation and management, change management, risk management, and tracking and monitoring the progress of construction projects for our engineering consultancy firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate, participate, and work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project alignment and timely communication of schedule updates and timelines.
  • Create detailed project schedules (baseline and updates) from initiation to completion, including resource allocation, task sequencing, and identification of critical paths.
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules, proactively identify potential delays and issues, implement corrective actions, develop mitigation plans to minimize project disruptions, and prepare/assess the extension of time and claims.
  • Analyze project data and provide regular reports on project status, including milestones, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project planning and execution processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5-7 or more years of proven experience as a Planning Engineer or a similar role in an engineering consultancy.
  • Proficiency in project management and scheduling software, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Certification in project management (PMP) is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of civil engineering principles and construction processes.
  • Willingness to relocate, if required.
  • Must have a Valid SCE Membership
  • Must have a Valid IQAMA, if Non-Saudi.
