We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our esteemed engineering consultancy in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, project management, and construction economics. This role will involve managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a crucial role in the success of our projects, working closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and oversee all aspects of quantity surveying for various construction projects from inception to completion.
– Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications and drawings.
– Conduct feasibility studies and provide advice on the financial implications of project decisions.
– Monitor project progress and costs, ensuring compliance with budgetary constraints and timelines.
– Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and contract documents.
– Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and subcontractors.
– Provide regular reports on project financial performance and forecasts to senior management.
– Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential financial risks.
– Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure alignment on project objectives and cost control.
– Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders to address any financial and contractual issues.
– Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards in quantity surveying practices.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is preferred.
– A minimum of 15 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
– Strong understanding of construction contracts, including FIDIC and other relevant standards.
– Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects and budgets effectively.
– Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
– Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
– Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
– Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
– Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
– Must have a Valid SCE Membership
– Must have a Valid IQAMA, if Non-Saudi.
